A Multifaceted Graphic Designer

Hello there. I’m Owen. I’m a graphic desinger. By now you’ve probably already put that together. So let me get to the part you may not know. I have over 20 years experience in this discipline, and I’ve designed all kinds of things from race car livery to live event activation campaigns for e-sports controllers. But mostly I love designing things that are tangible; things you can hold in your hands, things that communicate something, things that bring people joy. I’m also a pretty huge fucking nerd.

And so in 2017, when I found myself at a local TTRPG meetup and got involved with Nerdburger games doing the layout for CAPERS, I found my people. Since then I’ve worked with over 20 different tabletop game developers laying out their books, designing their cards, building their web sites, creating their logos, spicing up their convention booths, and using my … 'particular set of skills’ to help a lot of really cool people realize their dreams and get their game in the hands of players.

In the last few years, I’ve gone from treating this like a side hustle and passion project of my own, to attempting to make a living as a layout artist in the tabletop games industry. Probably not my most lucrative idea, but what can I say? I like a challenge.
